Illum tkellimna dwar il-poeżiji. Tgħallimna ħafna affarijiet ġodda fosthom li min jikteb il-poeżiji nsejħulu poeta. Il-poeta jħoss xewqa ġewwa qalbu biex jikteb. Din ix-xewqa tissejjaħ il-Muża. Fil-poeżija nsibu ukoll kliem li jistemgħu jaqblu. Dan il-ħoss tat-taqbil tissejjaħ rima. Il-vers tal-għana Malti fiha tmien sillabi f'kull vers. Il-paragrafi ġo poeżija jissejħu strofi.
Semmejna ukoll xi poeti Maltin fosthom lil Dun Karm Psaila, Ġananton Vassallo, Anton Buttiġieġ u oħrajn.
